2ND PLACE:

Yes folks, I placed 2016’s “Silence” over “Parasite.” Why? Because it rocked me to my core. As a Christian, this film challenged my faith in the best of ways, stripping me down and posing questions that I would not think as to process as a believer. Depending on your spiritual journey, this movie may or may not hit/resonate as much. But for me, it’s a beautiful piece of cinema that boasts fantastic cinematography, great casting, and an emotional, wrought narrative that leaves you battered by its end.

Alas, it does not place first, due to preference. Regardless, you must see this film if you have not already.
