“Mission Impossible”

MOVIE REVIEW: Last night I got to see a movie I recently purchased called “Mission Impossible” which stars Tom Cruise (Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion), Jon Voight (National Treasure, Transformers), Emmanuelle Beart (8 Women, Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud), Henry Czerny (Revenge, The A-Team (2010)), Jean Reno (The Pink Panther (2006), Ronin), Ving Rhames (Dawn of the Dead, Pulp Fiction), Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient, Four Weddings and a Funeral), Vanessa Redgrave (Howards End, Deep Impact), Ingeborga Dapkunaite (Seven Years in Tibet, Hannibal Rising), and Emilio Estevez (The Breakfast Club, The Mighty Ducks). This movie is about an Impossible Mission Force agent named Ethan Hunt (Cruise) who is put on a mission with his team to find out a mole in the CIA who is trying to download the NOC list of all the agents and their real names to put them out in the world. His team finds themselves in Prague to hunt the mole down. With the mastermind of the team, Jim Phelps (Voight), leading the team on the mission to casually walk into a fancy party and find the mole’s lair inside, Ethan is able to trade out the disc with the real NOC list and replace it with a fake one. But something goes wrong. When they did their job, the team was ambushed and everyone was killed except for Ethan. Because he is the last one alive, the CIA believes that he is the mole and set up his own team. Now with the CIA hunting him down, Ethan will do everything he can to find out who the mole is and avenge his fallen team. I thought the movie was really good. The story was done well, the action was great, the special effects were good, the acting was good, and it was very thrilling. I would have to say thought that the cons of this movie are how I was lost in the beginning of what was happening (I don’t know how) in the story, but I eventually caught up. Another con would be that even though the action was great, there wasn’t as much action as I thought there would be and I thought that it would be filled with action, but the story made up for it. Other than those this movie was awesome and I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it! FINAL SCORE: 90%= Juicy Popcorn

Changes have been made to this review after The Juicy Awards of 2014. They do not effect the results of what has previously been punched in for Movie of the Year.
