FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: “SPARTANS! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION!?” “WAR, WAR, WAR!” “You see old friend? I brought more soldiers than you did!” I’ve been waiting a long while to watch this movie and last night I finally have! “300” which stars Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen, How to Train Your Dragon), Lena Headey (The Purge, Game of Thrones), Dominic West (Chicago, The Wire), David Wenham (Public Enemies, The Lord of the Rings), Vincent Regan (Lockdown, Snow White and the Huntsman), Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, X-Men: First Class), Tom Wisdom (Pirate Radio, Romeo and Juliet (2013)), Andrew Pleavin (Inception, Batman Begins), Andrew Tiernan (The Pianist, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles), and Rodrigo Santoro (Lost, Rio). This movie is based on a comic book of the same name as well as taking from actual history. This story is centered around King Leonidas (Butler) who leads 300 of the best Sparta men to battle a Persian army under the ruling of Xerxes (Santoro) who thinks he has divine right. Leonidas plans to hold off the Persian army so that Sparta could prepare their own army against Xerxes so that Persia doesn’t enslave everyone living in Sparta. This movie has to be one of the most epic of movies I have ever seen in my life. The style of video is amazing to make it look as if it is coming from a comic book, the graphics of the fight scenes are awesome, and I think the best part of this whole movie is how many famous and awesome lines or quotes that you can pull from it. I have seen several clips to this movie beforehand so I think the movie would have been a lot better if I haven’t spoiled a lot of the good parts already, but overall it was a great movie and I recommend anyone that hasn’t seen it, to see it! FINAL SCORE: 98%= Juicy Popcorn

After further thinking, I have changed the score of this movie. The altering has occurred after The Juicy Awards II, so it will not alter the awards or ranking of the movies that competed for Movie of the Year for the year 2014. So with that said, this movie has now been inducted into The Juicy Hall of Fame.
