How have I not seen this until last year? “Singin’ in the Rain” is absolutely timeless, with three top-tier performances, sharp dialogue, and a rich backdrop against the transition of silent films to the talkies. It’s film history and musical wrapped into one; a concoction that succeeds. However, the feature falls short of taking home Movie of the Year.
