Pixar’s “Luca” boasts beautiful animation, set against a gorgeous backdrop of Italy. It’s a bittersweet tale with a ton of heart (the usual Pixar move), conveyed through a set of fun characters that you root for. Sure, it’s not Pixar’s best – nor most memorable – but it works as an impressionable family film. I enjoyed watching it and find it to be a solid piece of ainmated cinema from a company that is struggling to find its footing in recent years.
The top ten of the year are here, but more will fall. Stay tuned…
