BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY WINNER

Greig Fraser was nominated twice for a reason. The man is a visual genius, and with 2022’s “The Batman,” he gives us the most realistic representation of Gotham ever. Period. His use of shadows and crushed blacks bleed beautifully onscreen, especially when they contrast the more colorful pulp of rising suns and burning cars. I loved the look of this new Batman flick; the cinematography alone makes it well worth the watch.
