What. A. Western. Clint Eastwood’s “Unforgiven” is a tour de force of filmmaking (albeit a slow beginning), with top-notch acting (Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman? Come on, son), fantastic cinematography, and a story that will leave you reeling. I enjoyed watching this one and believe it to be one of Eastwood’s finest achievements. It deserves to be in the top of watch lists. But unfortunately, it falls short of the gold.
