FEBRUARY MOVIE RANKINGS:
A bit late to the ranking game, but be on the lookout for some juicy stuff to come this March. Let’s take a look at who won February, out of three candidates.
#3- “Early Man”
82%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Fun, respectable stop-motion technique, great voice acting, and surprisingly funny.
Cons: There isn’t much meat to the story and there were a few moments of CGI that were crude.
#2- “Black Panther”
84%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Entertaining, great cinematography, fresh atmosphere for a Marvel flick, solid performances, and a cool story.
Cons: The plot was very predictable, some characters were given no development, there were hardly any stakes to the conflict, and T’Challa could’ve been fleshed out more as a hero.
#1- “Blade Runner 2049”
94%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Brilliant cinematography, great performances, fantastic score, intriguing story, beautiful visual effects, and an all-around blast of a sci-fi.
Cons: Had predictable plot devices and excessive nudity.
And February is wrapped (it technically has been). “Blade Runner 2049” will face “Glengarry Glen Ross” and the rest of the winners to decide who will be 2018’s Movie of the Year.
