“Big Daddy”

FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: I’ve been out camping over the weekend, so I haven’t had the chance to post a movie review, but now I have time! For the last Friday night movie review of me being fifteen years old (my birthday is Tuesday), I watched “Big Daddy” which stars Adam Sandler (Billy Madison, Grown Ups 2), Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Grace Under Fire), Cole Sprouse (The Suite Life on Deck, Eight Crazy Nights), Joey Lauren Adams (Dazed and Confused, The Break-Up), Jon Stewart (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report), Josh Mostel (Billy Madison, Rounders), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up, 17 Again), Rob Schneider (50 First Dates, The Hot Chick), and Steve Buscemi (Fargo, Reservoir Dogs). This movie revolves around a law school graduate named Sonny Koufax (Sandler), whom is thirty-two years old. The thing with Sonny though is that he does nothing, but lay around his apartment and make money off of a lawsuit he charged with a taxi running over his foot years ago. He wants to change his life though when his girlfriend, Vanessa, wants him to just grow up and take life more seriously. So when a kid, named Julian (both Sprouses), is dropped off at his door looking for his dad who isn’t Sonny, he couldn’t help but take him in. Now with a kid, Sonny wants to prove to Vanessa that he is mature enough to handle responsibility and take life more seriously. This movie is my favorite Adam Sandler movie which I have seen before, but I got it on Blu-ray and wanted to see it again. I thought the story was really good as well as heart-warming, the acting was good, and it was funny as well. I also enjoyed Rob Schneider’s character as well. Some cons are the plot felt a bit tossed around making it feel short rather than putting more detail into it. FINAL SCORE: 83%= Juicy Popcorn
