BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: Today, I got to watch another movie called “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” which stars Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, 3:10 to Yuma), Alexandra Daddario (Hall Pass, Texas Chainsaw 3D), Douglas Smith (Big Love, Blast from the Past), Leven Rambin (The Hunger Games, All My Children), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder, Fast & Furious), and Jake Abel (The Host, I Am Number Four). This movie is the sequel to “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” as well as basing off of the book series of the same name. Percy (Lerman) and his friends, Annabeth (Daddario), Clarice (Rambin), Grover (Jackson), and his half-brother Tyson (Smith) have to go find the mythical golden fleece when their safe haven, Camp Half-Blood, is dying. In the process of doing this, Percy is also trying to stop his prophecy from happening even though he must stop Luke (Abel) from releasing an ancient evil and destroying the world. I thought that the movie was good. I saw the first movie only once and that was around the time it first came out so it was a long time ago, but I was still up to speed with what was going on in this movie. I thought the story was good, the acting was good, and the special effects in this were great! I haven’t read any of the books though, so my opinion might favor the movie more rather than people who have read the books. For a movie that has all of this build up in it, I don’t know why it wasn’t really a big release whenever there were trailers for it coming to theaters. Overall the movie was good and I recommend anyone that has seen the first one to see it! FINAL SCORE: 86%= Juicy Popcorn
