BEST ORIGINAL SCORE WINNER:

This year proved to have tough competition for Best Original Score. It was honestly neck and neck, with one winning out simply based on one factor: the music was a character in and of itself. In bringing on Simon & Garfunkel, “The Graduate” was given a different life. We were gifted the song “Mrs. Robinson” because of this movie, for Pete’s sake! I was a fan of the band before watching this, but I will say that all around, the movie is better for having it. These guys are synonomous with the feature, making it a terrific soundtrack to listen to and see fill the frame.
