BEST CHARACTER WINNER:

Sure, other nominees may have been at a disadvantage because Caesar had three films to develop through, but I don’t care. “War for the Planet of the Apes” was a wonderful conclusion to a terrific character, found in an ape raised in a world that was changing. Andy Serkis was brilliant as Caesar, and to see the weathered ape take his last voyage was a rewarding experience.
