January Movie Rankings

Here we are, a new year, a new January movie rankings. It’s been a busy month and I apologize for these rankings not coming sooner. Anyway, almost all of these movies are good and whatever place they get, I still recommend you to watch all that you haven’t seen. Well, except for the burnt popcorn one. So read on and find out who won January 2015!

january 1

#7- “Into the Storm”
55%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: Great special effects, entertaining overall, and good acting.
Cons: Not the best video style, predictable, cheesy (in a bad way), unrealistic at times, and the characters get out of hand.

#6- “The Maze Runner”
76%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Interesting concept, great special effects, good action scenes, and good acting for the most part.
Cons: Parts in this film got really stupid and made no sense.

january 2

#5- “No Good Deed” (2014)
85%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Good story, fantastic acting, great action scenes, and suspenseful.
Cons: Can get predictable and drags in parts.

#4- “Knight and Day”
89%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Very funny, great acting (Tom does it again), fresh story, great special effects, killer action sequences, great flow of story, and fun entertainment.
Cons: It gets corny in places, like jokes that are lame.

january 3

#3- “King Kong” (2005)
90%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Fantastic characterization, great story, amazing action scenes and special effects, great tones and setting, and great acting.
Cons: It is a long movie that can drag in spots and some video styles in the film weren’t needed.

#2- “The Cable Guy”
91%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Hilarious, choice acting, great action scenes, awesome story, and great appearances by famous people.
Cons: It doesn’t make any sense for anyone other than Steven Kovacs and Rick to not see how creepy the Cable Guy really is, especially Robin.

january 4

#1- “The Truman Show”
92%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Genius concept, great story, amazing acting, funny, gives a great message, and exceeded my expectations.
Cons: It tends to drag in dialogue in some spots.

We have our first nominee! “The Truman Show” will go up against the winners of the next eleven months in January 2016 to see what movie will become the most prized, Movie of the Year. Thanks for reading the rankings and see yah until the first February review!
