“No Good Deed” (2014)

MOVIE REVIEW: “No Good Deed” stars Idris Elba (Thor, Pacific Rim), Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Date Night), Leslie Bibb (Iron Man 2, Zookeeper), and Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue, Taxi [2004]). This movie is about a convict named Collin (Elba) that is on trial for whether he should walk free for the deaths of five women that he was romantically involved with. Once he is in a van headed back to prison, he kills the guards inside and escapes only to stumble upon a house with a married woman named Terry (Henson) and her two kids. Terry’s husband is away and when she sees Collin on her doorstep in the rain asking for a phone because his car broke down, she lets him inside….which is a big mistake.

No-Good-Deed-2

This movie was not all that bad. I saw a review of it and it didn’t get the best of scores and it set the expectations low for me. But, this movie turned out rather well. The story is pretty good, giving it a fresh take on thriller. The acting was the best part of this movie with everyone pulling off great performances. The action scenes were good and this movie had a good, suspenseful tone. I would say that one con of this movie would be it can get predictable. There are some parts that I called before they happened. Another con would be that this movie does tend to lose pizzazz in places and can drag. Overall, this movie is good and I recommend anyone that hasn’t seen it to watch it! FINAL SCORE: 85%= Juicy Popcorn
