“Mission Impossible III”

BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: A while ago I saw the movie “Mission Impossible III” which stars Tom Cruise (Oblivion, Minority Report), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote, Doubt), Ving Rhames (Dawn of the Dead, Pulp Fiction), Billy Crudup (Watchmen, Big Fish), Michelle Monaghan (Source Code, Due Date), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (August Rush, Match Point), Keri Russell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Felicity), Maggie Q (Live Free or Die Hard, Divergent), Simon Pegg (Star Trek Into Darkness, Hot Fuzz), Eddie Marsan (Hancock, The Illusionist), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, The Colony), and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Need for Speed). Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is back once again on one of his most toughest (or impossible) missions yet. For a while he has been training agents instead of doing field work because he is trying to start a normal life in which he is going to marry a woman named Julia (Monaghan). He gets pulled out though when he is informed that an agent he trained named Lindsey (Russell) is being held by an arms dealer. He gets a team together and save her, blowing up the being she was being held in the process. It doesn’t end well though when Lindsey dies in the rescue helicopter due to a bomb that exploded in her brain which was placed there by her captors. To avenge her and make up for his mistake, Ethan goes off with his team to find the arms dealer and bring him into custody. I thought this movie was a much better improvement from the second one with a great story, good acting, killer action scenes, awesome special effects, it is thrilling, and it has a plot twist. This is probably due to the fact that it is directed by the one and only J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias). Cons of this movie would be how I found that it lost momentum in story towards the middle of the movie, but it regained it towards the end. Above all, this is a great action movie and I recommend any Tom Cruise/Mission Impossible fan to see it if they haven’t already! 87%= Juicy Popcorn
