FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: Last night, I saw the Oscar nominated movie called “All is Lost” which stars Robert Redford (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting). This movie is basically about a man, called Our Man (no name given), whose boat knocks into a shipping container that is just floating in the water and from then on it goes downhill for him with having to battle storms and keep his boat from sinking from holes. For a movie with almost no talking at all (Redford only said like five things, four being short sentences), the movie kept me in tune with seeing how he would deal with all of his dilemmas of just staying afloat and surviving. Some parts were a bit stretched in the middle, but overall the movie kept a pretty good pace. I really applaud Redford’s acting in this with him just acting by facial expressions and what he does physically rather than talking. The special effects where great too, like the storm knocking him into the water and showing the fish in the water as well. This movie may not have much to “say”, but it still keeps the viewer in check with his reactions of what to do! FINAL SCORE: 85%= Juicy Popcorn
