JANUARY MOVIE RANKINGS:
If you got lost this month with the movie reviews going on at the same time as the Juicy Awards, I am sorry for that. But, I chose to put the rankings in a couple days after the awards so that there could be no confusion towards the initial rankings of movies in January. So without further ado, here are the movie rankings for January! (WARNING: there is a tie for second place and yes I know that):
#5- “Jobs”
77%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Good story, great acting, and it gives great information on Steve Jobs and his correlation with Apple that I never knew before.
Cons: The movie drags in places throughout the movie and this movie is more about Steve Jobs and his connection with Apple rather than his life story (birth to death).
#4- “Disturbia”
82%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Good story, good acting, it is a good thriller, great action scenes, and it can be funny in parts.
Cons: There is quite an amount of gore in this movie, mostly when they get in the killer’s house, that can freak people out.
#3- “The Kings of Summer”
83%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Great story, good idea, good acting, funny, good visual effects, and the character Biaggio is great.
Cons: There is a lot of cussing in this movie as well as a lot of instances where teens drink.
#2- “The Wolverine”
85%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Great story, great action scenes, great special effects especially with the atomic bomb scene, good acting, and just a good Wolverine movie.
Cons: The scene with Logan getting that parasite off his heart was really overwhelming to watch.
#2- “The Hangover”
85%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Funny, great story, good acting, great characters, great effects, and an overall fun movie to watch.
Cons: A lot of scenes were supposedly cut out when I watched it, but that just means that there were a lot of bad scenes in this movie and there is also a lot of cussing in this movie as well.
#1- “The Pursuit of Happyness”
87%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Great story, great acting, an emotional movie, and it presented the harsh times and dire situations very well in this movie.
Cons: There were scenes in this movie that wouldn’t seem very realistic like when they went to a homing facility for the homeless and being the last people to get in, they got a room where others slept on cots out in the open.
Well there you have it! “The Pursuit of Happyness is January’s movie of the month and it will go up against all the other movie of the months at the end of the year to see which movie will become Movie of the Year for 2014!!! Even though the other movies didn’t reach movie of the month, that doesn’t mean that they are bad so you should still watch the other movies too if you have a chance. I mean even “Jobs” is an ok movie to watch.
Cool new title photo. Fifty hits in just a couple days, word of mouth is working, dude.
