“The Internship”

The Internship Intl Poster

BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: Last night, I saw a funny movie called “The Internship” which pairs Vince Vaughn (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Wedding Crashers) and Owen Wilson (Cars, Wedding Crashers) once again with other stars which include Rose Byrne (X-Men: First Class, Insidious), Aasif Mandvi (Spider-Man 2, Premium Rush), Max Minghella (The Ides of March, Agora), Josh Brener (Glory Daze, The Big Bang Theory), Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf, The First Time), Tiya Sircar (Friends with Benefits, 17 Again), Tobit Raphael, Eric Andre (The Invention of Lying, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23), Rob Riggle (The Other Guys, The Hangover), and Will Ferrell (Elf, Step Brothers). This movie is about two wrist watch salesman named Billy McMahon (Vaughn), and Nick Campbell (Wilson) whose jobs have been shut down to the ever-changing ways in technology. Forced to find a new job, Billy stumbles upon the search engine Google and gets Nick to join him to sign up for an internship at the headquarters to see if they can get a job there. When they get there though, they are mocked by the all the other young people because of their lack in knowledge in modern-day technology. They are soon put into a team up as they say “scraps” of people under leadership of a worker named Lyle (Brener) to win challenges given by the supervisor to see which team of interns will win to earn a job at Google. It is up to Billy and Nick to learn more in the technology world to win challenges while teaching their teammates the real world that doesn’t revolve around technology. I thought the movie was very funny and the plot was good. There were times where the movie dragged and there was a bad scene at a strip club in the middle of the movie. Overall the movie was good and it got a pretty good laugh out of me. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good laugh. FINAL SCORE: 75%= Juicy Popcorn
