FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: Tonight, I got to see the family movie “The Croods” which stars Nicolas Cage (National Treasure, Face/Off), Emma Stone (The Help, The Amazing Spider-Man), Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern, The Proposal), Catherine Keener (Into the Wild, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), Cloris Leachman (The Iron Giant, Young Frankenstein), and Clark Duke (Hot Tub Time Machine, Greek). This movie is about a prehistoric family known as the Croods who stay in a cave all day because the dad Grug (Cage) wants them to be safe and to not do new things. When the earth starts “coming to an end” (continental drift) though, the ambitious daughter, Eep (Stone) finds another boy named Guy (Reynolds) who takes the Croods on a trip to a big mountain to fly where the sun is and be safe from the end. Grug gets jealous of him though because they start listening to Guy other than him because Guy comes up with new ideas such as fire, shoes, and traps. I thought the movie had a good story with the cavemen learning new things. The animation was great too and it was funny especially the grandma, Gran (Leachman) and the son, Thunk (Duke). I recommend this to any family to watch!! FINAL SCORE: 85%= Juicy Popcorn
