FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: Tonight I got to see the sci-fi movie “The Host” from the novel created by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight) starring Saorise Ronan (The Way Back, Hanna), Max Irons (Red Riding Hood, Dorian Gray), Jake Abel (I am Number Four, Percy Jackson), and Diane Kruger (Troy, National Treasure). It is about a race of aliens that come to Earth and take over human bodies by cutting their necks and placing themselves in them. The story follows a human rebel named Melanie (Ronan) who gets taken by the seekers, who capture people and put aliens in them, and is injected with this alien named Wanderer or Wanda later in the movie. But instead of getting the information about the rebels hideout and giving it to the controlling seeker (Kruger), Wanda is persuaded by Melanie who is still in her head to not do it and go to their base herself to help out the rebels against the seekers and the alien race to save the humans. I thought the movie was very good with an idea that I haven’t heard of before. The story and ending was good and I would recommend this to any Stephenie Meyer fans or anyone looking for a good story that hasn’t been done yet! FINAL SCORE: 89%= Juicy Popcorn
