Ugh, it’s never easy choosing this one. It came down to the wire, but my heart told me to go with Dustin Hoffman. His performance of Raymond Babbitt in “Rain Man” is unmatched. I mean, the man went all in, and I couldn’t even see the actor. All I saw was Raymond, a grown autistic man who changes the cold heart of his younger brother Charlie as they reconnect through a long roadtrip. I loved Hoffman’s role, and if you watch this movie you’d see just how phenomenal he is. There was no caricature or carelessness done, but rather a pure, honest, raw performance that shouldn’t go unchecked.
